Why is there kaš-mi-daš?
Our goal is to become a hub for all paper lovers, where tradition and modern design from around the world intertwine.
We want to create a community that shares a passion for quality paper products with a deep story and commitment to sustainability. We strive to ensure that each of our products inspires and brings joy into the everyday lives of our customers.
We believe that even the smallest details can make a big impact, which is why we bring paper joy with respect for our planet.
The Story of kaš-mi-daš
My name is Zlata Vavrušková and I am the founder of the kaš-mi-daš project. This project was born out of my love for paper and everything related to it. I believe that the word is the basis of everything we do, and therefore form always follows content.
I found the inspiration for the kaš-mi-daš while walking around Prague, taking photos of the windows of old paper shops that seem to be frozen in time. I was fascinated by how these shops order goods at the counter without being able to see and touch everything. Then, in my travels, I discovered stylish stationers who approached paper differently - more modern and with a love of detail. Unfortunately, these goods were not available in the Czech Republic.
So in 2015 I decided to open an e-shop, which brought a new fresh wind to the world of paper. A year later, a brick-and-mortar shop followed, which became a meeting place and inspiration for all paper enthusiasts. But we didn't just stop at sales - kaš-mi-daš soon expanded to include workshops, lectures and creative workshops where we shared our passion for paper together.
In 2018, we also appeared in Manifesto Market with our Pop Up shop, which was another step towards bringing paper joy to as many people as possible.
The year 2019 brought changes - we closed our shop at Pod Nuselskými schody, and in 2020, with the advent of the pandemic, our e-shop also stopped. It was a new stage of life that brought time for reflection and new beginnings.
But in January 2024, I decided to revive the kaš-mi-daš. Today we are here again, ready to bring the joy of paper, to educate not only about ink, and to be a universe for all who love the smell of paper.
We are reopening the store in November 2024. We have chosen a unique concept in the Czech Republic, where we combine selective stationery with selective coffee. You can see all the products live and try them out. Come and see us.
